Biografie
Courteney Bass Cox (früher Courteney Cox-Arquette; * 15. Juni 1964) ist eine amerikanische Schauspielerin, Regisseurin und Produzentin. Bekanntheit erlangte sie durch ihre Hauptrolle als ‚Monica Geller‘ in der NBC-Sitcom „Friends“, die von 1994 bis 2004 ausgestrahlt wurde. Für ihre Leistung in der Serie erhielt sie sieben ‚Screen Actors Guild Award‘-Nominierungen, von denen sie eine gewann. Weitere Anerkennung erhielt sie für ihre Rolle als ‚Gale Weathers‘ in der Horrorfilmreihe „Scream“ (1996 bis heute). Außerdem spielte sie die Rolle der ‚Lauren Miller‘ in der NBC-Sitcom „Familienbande“ (1987-1989), die Rolle der ‚Lucy Spiller‘ in der FX-Dramaserie „Dirt“ (2007-2008) und die Rolle der ‚Jules Cobb‘ in der ABC/TBS-Sitcom „Cougar Town“ (2009-2015), für die sie bei den ‚Golden Globe Awards‘ und den ‚Critics’ Choice Awards‘ nominiert wurde.
